I’ve been creating pottery for over 20 years. To me, one of the most daunting aspects of creating a successful piece is the challenge of choosing a glaze, never really knowing how something will turn out.

I have worked in community studios for the most part and have been limited to the selection of studio glazes available there. But a few years ago I discovered commercial glazes and a whole new world of creativity opened up for me. After much trial and error, I began to compile a collection of really beautiful glaze combinations.

Each time our studio kiln is opened and my work comes out, my pottery friends will gather around and admire it. They constantly ask me what my glaze combinations are, hoping to recreate some of the great results I am getting.

Knowing that there’s much more to a successful glaze job than simply naming the glazes I used, I decided to create a series of video tutorials featuring my favorite Gorgeous Glazing combinations. In each video lesson I’ll bring you along with me step by step as I actually apply the glazes. It’s easy to follow along and achieve some really wonderful results… even as a beginner.
